alix kelsey yoga
Alix Kelsey (she/her) is a lover and teacher of compassionate and trauma-informed vinyasa yoga. Alix began her yoga journey when she was 15 years old. She found yoga was a way to honor & love her body, compassionately connect with her mind, and find solace in a busy life.

Over the last 15+ years Alix explored a variety of yoga styles and fell in love with vinyasa yoga, meditation, and pranayama. Alix holds a 250 Hour Yoga Alliance trauma-informed & Ayurvedic-inspired teaching certification, from master teacher Avani Gilbert. Her hope is to guide others to develop their own unique loving relationship with body, mind, & soul. She does this with compassion and mindful yoga classes that incorporate grounding, meditation, pranayama (breath), and moving the body through postures that align with a sankalpa (intention in sanskrit). Alix’s classes are warm, challenging, approachable, and creative. She is passionate about teaching with a trauma-informed lens and believes yoga is for every one & every body.

You can expect each of Alix's yoga classes to incorporate these elements:
-
vinyasa flow: a series of yoga postures & movements put together in order with specific intention
-
pranayama: breathing techniques used to connect you to you. will be used to heat things up & cool things down.
-
meditation: a practice in letting the ripples/noise of the mind settle down, even if for a moment
-
modifications & options: so all bodies & any yoga experience can participate
